This year's World Oceans Day theme is “Gender and the Ocean”, emphasizing the importance of gender equality for the effective conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources. This program will organize a community talk show for women and girls of the Ibarapa community to build greater ocean and gender literacy and discover possible ways to promote gender equality in ocean-related activities. The talk show will include personal pledges to protect the oceans, exploring the database of education, science and policy resources and a call to action to achieve full equality for women and girls.
