Numerous public and private universities in Bangladesh are now offering Disaster Risk Management undergraduate and postgraduate programs but there is not yet strong demand for this new discipline. A poster presentation session on "Application of Earth Sciences in DRR" will bring students and representatives from the relevant Dhaka based industries to engage in this conversation. Fifty students in their final year of undergraduate or Master’s studies from public and private universities who have DRM related programs will be selected to showcase their earth science-based research derived outcomes to the representatives of NGOs and governmental organizations working in DRR.
