ENLIGHTENMENT CAMPAIGN ON SUSTAINABLE EXPLOITATION OF OCEAN RESOURCES – FAREMI, IYABODE THERESA, UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, OYO STATE, NIGERIA

The Niger Delta is the breeding ground for many aquatic organisms, some of which are endangered and cannot be found in any other ecosystem. However, local people depend on the ecosystem for its resources, such as fish and crude oil. Held on World Ocean’s Day, this outreach program would work with the Akwa-Ibomites in the Niger Delta region to highlight the importance of sustainable exploitation of ocean resources so both they and future generations can benefit from the ocean.
