The goal of this initiative is to apply the innovative research and expertise of earth scientists at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) to create community-based ambassadors of environment in India and Myanmar. The project will enable community members, specifically women, to become effective local environmental stewards and advocates in the fight against the use of plastics. Over a one-year period, education, including hands-on activities, and communication tools will be employed in these regions to increase knowledge of climate change and propose actions to mitigate it.
