Queer Science has been engaging LGBTQ+ high school students by bringing them into research labs alongside LGBTQ+ scientists and helping them explore their passion in STEM. This event will bring students outside the lab to experience fieldwork and demonstrate how our scientific fields are intertwined with the natural world! A diverse team of LGBTQ+ scientists will lead students on the excursion and through experiments including soil sampling, exploring fungal microbiology, and learning about native wildlife, among many others.
