Reclaiming STEM will be the second annual science communication workshop, aimed at providing training for diverse scientists to learn how to communicate their science at the intersection of research and social justice. The workshop will host 200 scientists in Fall 2019 and is focused on teaching them how to effectively communicate their science in a way that reflects their personal identity and inspire them to integrate their research into social justice and advocacy. As Earth and Space scientists grow in diversity, the field requires training that accounts for the challenges that under-represented groups face.
