This project will support the “Volcanoes of Utah: Macro to Micro Scale” photo exhibit sponsored by the Davis ArtsCouncil in Davis County, Utah, displayed from June-September 2020. The exhibit will bring public awareness about the geology of Utah beyond that typically seen by visitors and will feature approximately 20 original photos of aerial views, hand samples and scanning electron microscope images of mineral grains of the Mineral Mountains and Black Rock Desert. Photo captions will provide details on the processes and timescales. Tiffany Rivera will be present during the event to answer questions about the photos and offer additional information about volcanism in Utah.
